At the heart of any Christian ministry is a love and desire to attempt to meet the needs of those around us, whether they know the Lord or not.  We are exhorted to pray often and to bring the needs of others before the Lord so that those suffering may be encouraged, and those praying for them equally so.  Prayer is nothing more than communication with our awesome Creator - that He may be invited to intervene in our lives and reveal Himself in new ways to us.  He desires to know what our concerns are, that He may show His incredible divine mercy and love to us in answering our requests, and motivating others to reveal His love through their actions.

The Prayer Ministry Team are a group of people at Bloomfield Methodist Church who are committed to pray for people in need of any kind.  You don't need to be a member of the church to request prayer nor even live in the UK - we welcome prayer requests from anyone in need, however small you may feel your problem or concern is.

Prayer requests are brought before God daily by the individuals on the team and collectively during our worship Services.

Prayer requests can be submitted via the Prayer Center link at the top of the page (can be private or public) or direct to the Minister - use the Contact Us link on the menu.    If you desire, you can also put your requests on the site so others online can be involved.  Please see the link on the top menu for this and fill in the form with your details.  You can choose whether you desire the request to be public or private. This provides an outlet for your need and allows you to monitor the work of God in your life.  It is also possible for you to update the request at a later date.

Confidentiality is maintained – no names or situations which might give rise to speculation on names are mentioned publicly.  The Lord knows the people and the situations being prayed for! Contact phone numbers to pass prayer requests are available through our Order of Service and quarterly magazine – the BMC Buzz.

===============================
Do you struggle with your own personal prayer life and find it hard to know how to pray - if so, read our Prayer Guide and know you are not alone in this as many Christians find prayer to be one of the toughest areas of their walk with the Lord.  Much of this may be down to the fact that Satan works the hardest to keep us from connecting with our Heavenly Father, because he knows that it is a time of power for us and vital to our spiritual wellbeing, thus if he can prevent us from even starting to pray, he can keep us where he wants us - disconnected and unfulfilled, which can lead to even greater spiritual depression, thus prayer is absolutely VITAL to your spiritual welfare.

Prayer Updates:

See the Prayer Updates page for more information on the above, and other prayer events through the year and view Prayer Points to see important areas requiring prayer in the life of the Church throughout the year.

Join up for the 24/7 day of prayer for the Province and other needs throughout the year.  For all those who are leaders of youth groups/Bible studies/small-groups or prayer meetings we'd love to see you and your groups there, we're really excited about the Christmas prayer room, its going to be a place for families and friends in which we hope you're able to take some time out from the hustle and bustle to relax, reflect and spend time with God so don't hesitate to drop in anytime over the two weeks! On a practical note if you find yourself with any free time which you would like to put to good use then please let us know, volunteers are always welcome!

BMC also has a Pastoral Team of members who will happily visit you to discuss your needs and/or pray with you, if you desire.  The Team are happy to visit at a time of your convenience and can phone you in advance to discuss your needs and make suitable visit arrangements.  Please ensure that you contact the Minister should you desire a visit from the team, or if you have an urgent spiritual need.
